My name is Lori and I am the Reborn Artist of Those Little Moments Nursery.

I am a cervical cancer survivor and had a hysterectomy 2 years ago so I can no longer have babies of my own.  By the grace of God I have 2 girls Shelby age 9 and Mikala age 13 who are so sweet and always willing to help, and where I get a lot of patience from. I am sure you can recall being 13 though " but Mom I am a teenager now" "lots of Deep Breathes" on my end but they are very good children. I am very blessed.  So now my love for babies is expressed in my art and each one takes on its own life and personality.

My mother is a doll collector and about 2 years ago after I had just had my surgery and was feeling blue I wanted to get her something really nice and unusual for Mother's Day. I stumbled on some beautiful reborn babies on the internet and was completely amazed.  I started researching how to take a vinyl baby doll and make it come to life and look so real. 

After many attempts, lots of tutorials and research here I am and loving it so much I just cant wait to start a new little one. I am always learning new techniques and different aspects of this art. I take pride in my work and strive for only the best. I only use Genesis Heat Set paints as it will last for generations and creates wonderful heirloom quality dolls. It takes many hours to achieve the skin texture and look of realism, but it is well worth it.

I can spend weeks on a baby and still be just as excited as when I began. I think I have found my calling.  I am trying my hand at sculpting polymer clay babies and will let you know how that goes.  Keep checking back and when I finish one I will put pictures up no matter how it looks .. you might need a good laugh!
